East Grill & Pub
Recently opened, the new restaurant at Wachesaw Plantation East Golf Club in Murrells Inlet has struck a chord with golfers, resort guests and local residents alike. With a new inside bar and lively “Coastal Cuban” cuisine, East Grill & Pub has become quite the social scene on the west side of Hwy 17.
East Grill & Pub features a relaxed, upscale Cuban theme in its décor and menu, along with a well-provisioned bar and popular beers on tap, including Guinness and Sam Adams Seasonal. East Grill & Pub’s appetizers include Havana hot crab dip and an assortment of wings, including Cuban seasoned and Chipotle Orange.
The pub’s signature sandwich is a classic Cuban made of house braised pork shoulder, ham, Swiss cheese and dill pickles served pressed on authentic, crusty Cuban bread brought in directly from a Cuban bakery in Ybor City in Tampa, Florida. The very popular Cuban sandwiches are available as a half-sandwich or whole sandwich, which could easily feed two people. Those who enjoy cigars can order the “Cuban and a Cigar” special, which is half a Cuban sandwich and a premium cigar for $16. All served with crispy fries and East’s signature Mojo sauce for dipping.
Salads include a Cuban Cobb topped with slow-roasted pork, hearts of palm and crumbled queso fresco, Double Grilled Chicken Salad with grilled hearts of romaine, and the Malecon, a Cuban version of a classic chef’s salad. Other menu items continue the Coastal Cuban theme, including Burgers, fish tacos, a “Cuban Reuben” and The Hemingway, roast beef sandwich with Cheddar, fried onions and horseradish sauce.
The restaurant includes an outside bar and large patio with pergolas and a fountain where guests can enjoy drinks and cigars as they overlook Hole #10 and one of the largest driving ranges in the area.
